- I was motivated to get extra goo for donuts and help the Comunity prizes at the same time.
The wheel fails to motivate me. Set prizes I am not particularly interested in, eithatbwith in game cash or donuts, and no guarantee I'd get the one or two I'd like - unless I'd spend a lot of donuts - marketing trick from EA in my opinion.
I have stopped to bother with the couple of prizes still pending for me. Do the daily round for my neighbors.
I've liked this Xmas update except for the introduction of the asinine wheel.
Fun Comunity and Personal prizes, but I'm ready for a little rest in January. - Although a few of the prizes have limited use after Christmas (like the elves' house) I thought that we actually got quite a lot from this update for free.
Completely free new character, a few good buildings (esp. Shelter and the Ice Rink), the Plow King and Mr Plow skins (that I missed out on last year), and they seem to be listening on the vehicle/car front too. I really like the Ebenezer Burns skin as well - looks a lot like Burn's dad from his flashbacks in the "Bobo" episode! - Well, if it's really about motivation to keep on playing through the event, I think earning donuts is a better one. I played the halloween update like mad until the last day because I wanted that last bonus box of donuts. With this one, once the wheel is cleared and prizes all won, there's not any extra motivation to keep plugging along. I don't search around for presents anymore or stay on for long periods of time so I can get those last few bits of currency I need, because I don't need any more. I still like the game for its own sake, but the update stopped being exciting. (And those who haven't cleared the wheel are frothing with frustrated rage, not motivation, so that's no good either.)
- I see why you are torn between the 2. I give my edge to the wheel; no donuts was offset a bit by the bonus offer on buying donuts. Which should appeal to the donut buying players and the wheel to both.
- I would much rather donuts than spins.

Well put. Agree wholeheartedly!neuroheart wrote:

That was exactly my thoughts too!
Though I am not trying to complain about the wheel. Could they have made it a little better by sweetening up the prizes? Yes! Without a doubt. They could've thrown a few slots where there were small doughnut prizes like 2 maybe 3. That would've probably shut a few people up about it... I mean that in the most polite way, because I complained about it too lol :D- Once the wheel was cleared, EA should have put a spot on it for a chance to win donuts.

That's a very good point! :)Ieuan_Richards wrote:
There maybe no donuts put the chance to get free premium items is great the Totem with a 2.50% multiplier would cost 60 donuts but everybody gets it for free and the chance to win the snowmen (I have) which would cost 160 donuts if boutgh in the store and Mr Plow which was 90 donuts last year and the ice god would cost like 45 donuts in store. All of these would cost 355 donuts
This times 1 million. I absolutely agree. We received so many great prizes and I cleared the wheel for free.
