Change your screen resolution to a lower setting

Go to android display settings
Set screen resolution to minimal.
Restart tsto
Game will download again all image files, now for correct resolution

Don't forget to nuke that's the most important option to do.

I was messing with resolution also on the note 9. Go to the game launcher and at the bottom there is a circle with a line. Tap it and set game to balanced not performance. And have the resolution in the phone settings at max. This worked for me... Let me know if it works for you.

Oh... I just noticed the ui apart from the edges of the screen. I think theres a setting to remove the hole punch. Which basically blacks out the top where the hole punch is. Maybe that would fix it.

I would also contact EA and send them this screenshot
