- Okay, thanks! Ill get the money together and buy the Spinster Apartments first.
(I've gotten several level-ups in addition to Level 37, thanks to tile glitch ... So maybe it won't make me "level up" once I get the Spinster Apts built.)
Thanks again! - Basically the game cares little about the level you are, it cares more about what is next to build.
Basically you can't build a higher level character building without having the prior level's first. So you couldn't build build the Burns Manor if you didn't build Nelson's house even if you are level 37.
So typically the guide works like this. It only checks if you built the main building for the prior level's questline if a new level is available. So it won't let you build Kirk's Apartments since you didn't build Patti & Selmas. Whoever is level 38, it will require that the Bachelor Apartments is up before letting you build it. - Thank you! So, I got the Spinster building and am well into their quest, and will check that Walkthrough post to keep track of when the Bachelor one COULD be triggered. Meanwhile, I have Marge doing other stuff for the other quests. I might pull her off those so she can trigger the Bachelor one when I finish the Spinsters. Meanwhile, I have poor Chalmers wandering around in a dress twirling nunchucks waiting for his quest to be implemented when everyone comes back from the casino. :)
EDITED: oops. Just checked the Walkthrough. I might still need to do the DMV and Video Arcade before the Bachelor Arms triggers. ... annettemarc wrote:

Probably just the arcade. I'd be surprised if the DMV is required... it will be required to finish the questline, but not likely for the Arcade.GamerGD3 wrote:

Thanks! I'll see if that works out. (I find it hysterical that Springfield even HAS a DMV. The only ones with cars seem to be the millionaires, the cops, and the students in Drivers' Education. Plus there's no place to drive a car even if you HAD one. ;). )GamerGD3 wrote:

DMV is definitely NOT required. I just built the Bachelor Arms and I still haven't been prompted to build the DMV yet. I do have the arcade, though. Thank God for these multiple handshakes, or it would have taken me years to get this kind of scratch together.
