Here's what happened to me... Did this happen to anyone else?
Everything was fine through 2/15/13 update, until I finished building Wiggums House. After I selected Wiggums to drop it into place, a side task appeared to collect tax on my buildings. I think it was 20 homes that I had to tap. After I completed that task the pop up announced I had just completed "The Tax Man Cometh" and to collect my reward. After I tapped the "Continue" button the screen froze and the "harp sound" started. It froze for about a minute so I closed the game completely on my iPad2. When I opened the game again a prompt read that I had not completely closed the game on my other device and did I want to continue because some of my progress would be lost. I selected "continue" and the game appeared to start loading but never opened past the "Tapped Out" screen (the donut stopped turning). Meanwhile, the annoying harp sound started again.
I tried opening the game from my husband's iPod touch 4 (he can access the game without any problems), but I get the same result...it sticks on the Tapped Out screen, the donut stops turning and the harp sound starts.
I have the latest iOS. I have completely deleted the game from my iPad, turned off & restarted my iPad, then re-installed the game. When I start the game it again says I had not completely closed the game so I select continue and it hangs up on the Tapped Out screen with the annoying harp sound and frozen donut.
I have completely deleted and reinstalled about 4 or 5 times, but have the same result.
I even had my husband log into his Springfield on my iPad. It works for him, but when I try to log on it does the same thing.
Ugh! Please fix the bugs!!! I have spent real cash on Premium items and it's super annoying.
