Vandalism- What a friend...

It's not screwing your friends. It's actually helping them.

What happens is when YOU do the spraying, YOU take a slight hit on your Righteousness rating. The graffiti has no effect on your friend's Righteousness rating immediately- but when they clean it up, it will RAISE their Righteousness rating. See, it's actually beneficial to them, and that's why it's advocated so much, and why so many people welcome it- in fact it is the preferred friend action for a lot of players.

Oh, in that case, I'm sorry for my post!
It could be a coincidence, but I believe when people spray my town more often in a week, my rating fells!
I always search for sprayed buildings in my friends town to clean them up, trying to help them not get a hit on the ratings.
The Righteousness is so hard to understand!

Thanks for your answer, and I will not get angry with spray on my town anymore!

Yeah, the Righteousness rating is bit shaky. No one can quite figure out exactly how it works, but's it's generally accepted that graffiti (both sides) is great way of boosting it- but there is a wide range of effectiveness- some report no effect and other report jumping right up to 5 stars from 2 or 3 right after they start the graffiti cycle.

Me, I find that if I haven't visited my friends in a while, or at least did something graffiti related, my righteousness rating will plummet, but visiting a few friends for a paint session or getting lucky and having a few of my buildings painted immediately brings it right up.

you shouldn't clean their graffiti, if you do, it will not give them the righteousness boost by them cleaning it up.

    I have a question:

-Why people spray their friends town???

This have an impact on the Righteousness, and therefore it impacts on the friends revenue! It can kill half or a full star on the ratings, wich give you bonus over the money earned by buildings and characters!

I NEVER spray a friend's town, and I hate when they spray mine! There is always something else to tap on my town.

I simply can't understand why people screw their friends by doing this. Anyone agree with me?

I know it's been answered above by some others, but in additions to those reasons I also spray paint my friend's towns in kind of a joking way. Keep in mind though, the majority of the friends I have on my game are people that are my friends in real life (my friends list hasn't even hit the 20 mark) so it's kind of fun to poke fun at each other and say "Hey I vandalized your town!" We did the same thing with the toilet paper during the Halloween update. But yea, other than the reasons people stated above, that's why I tend to do it
  • I think your righteousness rating dropped because you don't vandalise buildings in your friends town. from experience I think cleaning up in your OWN town doesn't help that much but when you go out and vandalise buildings in your friends towns, your righteousness rating increases. it takes quite a number of friends to get your righteousness rating to 5 though.
  • There's another way that it helps your neighbors.

The school doesn't generate income. UNLESS you clean up graffiti, in which case you not only get the Righteousness boost but also a small dose of cash and xp from a building that doesn't otherwise provide it.

Another vote for "spray all my buildings please". :)
  • I pretty much keep Snake in jail all the time. Seems when I have him robbing, that's when my Righteousness goes down.
