When did Nelson become left handed?
Just a texture glitch with the animation going mirror image probably. Don't really see it as an issue though, unless you've got a problem with lefties lol :-)

No problems with lefties. I am one, too. Just rare to see a character who is left-handed. Other than Bart, I haven't seen another.
