Can we finally limit the strikes based on they ranges?

Every game from the 3 forward has had this poor striking quality. The fighters range means nothing at all and the moving strikes sliding and push the models weirdly across the mat. From a technical stand point the ranges that should only allow specific strikes to land are poorly placed ei the jab “range” isn't close enough for the jab to land consistently with the games backend slowly inching the fighter forward. Quick test to very this is inert fighter in practice mode position the jabing fighter out of range then jab allowing the animation to conclude before repeating notice the fighter after 4 or 5 jabs will be pulled to the other fighter to land the strike. To me that indicates an issue between the fighters walking code that doesn't meet the same places on the mat as the “ranges”. As well as that what strikes land from what ranges needs clarity, jabs/straights/low and body/overheards should land from a step out, hooks and knees a step closer, and head kicks/spinning kicks from two steps out. And these before listed ranges need to be different fighter to fighter and nit globalized like it currently is.That would change the strike selection available to player cleaning up the appearance as well as the effectiveness of striking at all ranges, weather or not strikes just don’t come out when the button press doesn't matter the range or if the game swaps the button press to an appropriate strike its still better then straight and hooks landing at the same range as head kicks. With that said those should be the only strikes that can be thrown/landed from those ranges. Once the moving strikes are being used those ranges change by one but once the strike can’t move one more range anymore then the strike should default to an applicable stationary strike and not the ice skate slide tracking maddness that has been in the game from years now. If there isn't going to be any incidentally contact for those stubbly clumsy collisions or changes made to the accuracy then the line has to be drawn in the stand to make this game even worth the looking as a fan of striking sports as well as a versed striker and gamer.
