I’m having a kinda similar problem also. So in career mode I made Gordon Ryan at middleweight. So I definitely focused highly on grappling and subs. Well I’m middleweight champ now and I saw one of my inviting a training partner had Von Flue choke okay cool paid for it and then went to Gunner Nelson who was the guy they said who had it and nothing shows up just the heel hook I already learned.
Experiencing the exact same problems playing on Xbox Series X. Wasted money, $18k+ two times, in Career training buying Triangle from Top or Bottom Full Guard but it is impossible to achieve as the option is never there.
So this is a huge Bug and career training has other moves etc. which are impossible to perform, like the superman punch, because the move is not available. There are others wasted money on and cannot perform in training because move is not made available.
It has been like this since launch, reports on Reddit too. Yet no acknowledgement from the Devs at all on when or even if a fix is coming.
Please get on this EA and fix the game. Too many crippling bugs to enjoy properly.
