EA SPORTS UFC 5 — a simulator of bugs, lag, and total disrespect for the player

  1. First of all, EA makes the worst games on the market. And that’s not an insult — it’s a fact. A direct result of developers who’ve simply stopped caring, especially about a game that has no real competition.
  2. Only EA releases a new game not when there’s progress, but when the previous one has completely rotted.
It’s not “marketing strategy”, it’s just “we don’t care anymore”. UFC 4 dies → let’s dump 5 → now recycle it again for 6. Brilliant.
  3. You removed back takes from the clinch (unless against the cage). But then in 2025 you add Zabit’s alt ego, with a basic and broken heel hook spam combo. Seriously?
And the back submission bug? Still alive. All your opponent has to do is pre-press a direction — and they magically escape the sub with 100% success. Super realistic. Super EA.
  4. Cage stun? Congrats, you’re in a 50/50 fight now.
The fighter auto-glues to the cage, and you can just spam body knees until a second stun.
Try blocking high? You still get blasted in the face with a knee.
    This isn’t a bug — it’s an EA-certified feature.
  5. Ground & Pound is a lottery, not a mechanic.
Random elbows, random blocks, random knockouts.
You fake a transition, cancel it instantly — still gets blocked.
Lose stamina on one fake? Next transition is 2x slower, and you’re finished from thin air. Great system, right?
  6. Round 1 = skill matters. Round 2 = RNG rules.
Anyone can get a knockdown. It’s about who lands the random uppercut first.
Lag? Blame your opponent’s P2P third-world internet, because EA still hasn’t added dedicated servers.
So… where is all the money I spent on UFC 5?
Where are the fixes? Where are the servers?
Or are we still eating the same sandwich from UFC 4.5, soon to be served again in 6?
  7. Spam is a viable playstyle.
Opponent figures out EA’s “meta”? He picks Muay Thai, closes distance with fake kicks — and guess what? You auto-lunge into a straight, then eat a combo.
Try showing boxing skills up close? He throws a fast 1–2, then ends with a hyper-fast body knee every time.
You read it. You block it. But the system rewards spam anyway.
Can’t stand in the pocket, can’t play at range — wrong matchup.
Wanna grapple? Grappling advantage means nothing — he’ll still magically block it all.
  8. Example on video
And this is just the start. I’ll be adding more, because EA keeps ignoring the community, and even if the chance to be heard is 1%, I won’t shut up.
It’s easier for EA to eat garbage for breakfast, then serve it to the players with a smile.

If any of this gets fixed in UFC 6 — I’ll be the first to offer 10 monetization ideas that won’t kill the game.

And no, I’m not some LS bot. I’m in Division 18, and after every loss I hit Learn, analyze, and study 100x more than your devs have patched UFC 5 since launch.

  • Yes devs should start a new online career and just play for 1 hours. If they dont realise how messed up this game is in that 1 hour they should quit and start working at McDonalds.

  •

Everyone who still plays UFC 5, including me, just wants a normal competitive mode — where fights are decided by skill, timing, and reading your opponent.

Right now it’s the opposite: RNG decides everything, spam gets rewarded, defense means nothing, and you’re punished just for not being the host.

There’s no real ranked mode while the game runs on P2P. Whoever hosts lands faster strikes, cancels grappling transitions easier, blocks everything before it even starts.

Meanwhile you’re stuck lagging, missing shots, getting denied for no reason.

Muay Thai is a legal exploit at this point. Fake kicks to close distance, auto-lunge straight, then spam knees to the body that break through blocks.

You read it, you block it — doesn’t matter. The system still rewards it.

There’s no competition in a game where connection is more important than skill.

Also, another bug: I stood right in front of the opponent and used a taunt. The moment it finished, I got a controller bug. I pressed R2 and tried to duck, but my fighter just froze, didn’t react at all, and I got KO’d instantly.

You’ll probably say “just don’t use taunts” — maybe YOU should remove them instead? Or better yet, finally make this game feel like a real competitive fighting game?

I never post like this, but honestly — you deserve to hear it. Just play one match of your own game and feel how broken it is.

Just imagine — such a huge company, and after all this time, you still can’t fix basic mechanics or deliver a proper experience.

The only thing you’re consistent with is monetization — and even that you manage to screw up.

I have zero reason to support your monetization system while the game itself is in this state.

Soon I’ll probably quit. I’m tired — tired of bugs, silence, no fixes, and no vision.

Until this game becomes actually competitive, I’m not spending a single coin.

You’ve made enough money just from UFC 5 alone — and still did nothing to improve gameplay.

No fixes, no real improvements. Just more paid Alter Egos. Great job.

We’re losing this industry. People with real passion and vision are being replaced by those who care only about squeezing profit — instead of at least trying to show real progress.

  • Oh no4 isnt a cheese bug? I Wonder why some people can get you stuck at the Cage and you cant even block any of the shoots high or low until you get stunned. But 2 ground moves ate like that to, you cant block them and they hit until they are out of staima or i get rocked.

But overall there are more things wrong with this game then right.

Like for example in online carrer you are at 3 and half stars and the end of prestige 0 and then you are at 3 and half stars up to like prestige 8 or 9 so even if you played like 5 hours you are matched against people who are alot stronger, but you even get matched agaist full star chars at prestige 0. I have no clue what they where thinking when they made online career matchups.

You need like 2000 hours in this game to even be able to compete in a fair fight. Its like this game is only for people who played from the start and all the new players can serve as an easy punchbag.

The only reson this game is dead exp for spammers and cheese bug users are bec of ea and how they made this game.
