Game is made to be picked up by anyone a major problem . UFC 6 wish list
Since the defense is tied into holding 2 buttons or even one . It makes the game a defensive nightmare to land trips and setting up clean strikes going for all threee body parts . Most people end up blocking a takedown even though they are tryna just block a body shot and same for leg strikes . You could honestly just rotate from holding both buttons and you’d be a defensive master which is nuts in mma. To make things even worse everyone’s stats are pretty much 90+ so everyone can endure and throw the same speed even when tired . Things that would improve this.
Pretty much a ufc 6 wish list :
-defensive blocking needs to be diffrent like I’ve stated in previous post. Blocking input for takedowns should be seperate from blocking low which is just holding R2 and L2 . Maybe even make leg kicks a timed block would make a difference to actually check a kick.
- just because your max holloway you should gas easily if you miss 300 punches and not pacing yourself like max does in fights .
-counter damage needs to be significantly increased for mistakes made in fights, way to forgiving on counter damage in this game .
- leg kicks need to mean something
- improved clinch positions like ea ufc 3 ( ufc 5 clinch system is literally a mobile game experience )
- ground and pound should also be clean and fluid like ea ufc 3
- blocks for trips should also be a diffent input these things are what makes mma one of the most difficult sports to do because of all the things you need to know to block but also the mind games to be tricked into trips and takedowns .
-stats need to be shown like I’ve posted before not that corny ⭐️ system that tells you absolutely nothing .
- pace needs to matter can’t be playing fast paced with slow pace fighters you should suffer such as Petr yan and ilia topuria who are very slow and methodical with their approach. Which is why they can fight long fights .
-fighter uniqueness , I’ve been preaching this since ufc 2 days for Anderson silva to be able to sway hands down . Fighters need these unique sways such as Silva , Fiziev , ruffy , Bobby green as example.
- real time clock in ranked and quick match . The real time clock would expose so much especially in 5 .
-seperate the stamina like you did for ea ufc 3 . Grappling and striking stamina . This is why you guys are having trouble with the stamina system now . Increasing the bar does nothing .
-speed of strikes should be diffrent from 100% stam fighter and a 50% or less fighter with increased vulnerability.
-more perks and negative perks , some fighters should have perks that makes them fight how they are supposed to be used such as max pace but with a decrease in power for his volume to accumulate. You can pretty much knockout anyone with max in the first round .
at the end of the day I’m a long time player of the series back to THQ days of ufc 2009 . EA please just add some depth to the game and stop making it a simple minded game . As a fan of the sport and also as a practitioner my self
