Online career leveling moves

Why does it take a billion fights with one fighter to get a 5 star jab or anything else?

You can prestige your fighter 2 dozen times before you ever get close. Kind of makes bothe systems useless or unrewarding

Is it a bug?

In Online Career Mode, the move leveling system is strictly tied to finishes, not just activity.

    Why It Stalls

The Prestige Reset: This is the biggest hurdle. Every time you Prestige to raise your attribute cap, your moves reset to Level 2. If you prestige as soon as you hit the level cap, you are effectively deleting your move progress every time.

XP Scaling: Landing a move is worth almost nothing. To hit 5 stars, you need roughly 100,000 XP. A standard hit gives a tiny sliver, while a Knockout or Health Event with that specific move gives you a massive chunk (around 4,000 XP).

The "Setup" Problem: Because the game rewards KOs, moves like Jabs or Leg Kicks take forever to level up because they rarely finish a fight.

    How to Level Moves Faster

Commit to the Grind: If you want 5-star moves, you must stop prestiging. Pick a prestige level you’re happy with and stay there. This is the only way to let the XP accumulate without it being wiped.

Fish for Health Events: You have to hunt for the "Stun" or "Wobble" specifically with the move you want to level. If you want a 5-star jab, you have to use power strikes to lower their head health, then spam the jab when they are hurt to get the "Health Event" XP bonus.

Focus on Finishes: A win by decision does almost nothing for your move levels. You are better off losing a fight while landing three "Health Events" with your jab than winning a 3-round fight on points.

    I hope this helped. 🙏

Yes thank you. That’s what I guess I was trying to say. Thank you for fleshing that out.

Picking one or the other just feels punitive. I wish they were more symbiotic.   I suppose though that could be by design to keep everyone from maxing everything out super quickly.

Another thing I forgot to mention.

When an opponent rage quits in online career, you generally do not receive full move evolution points (or sometimes any) for your fighter. While you get the win and ranked/division points, the move experience is often lost because the game session terminates before calculating the final tally of moves.

I will generally not taunt or even hold the opponent down for long periods of time. If trying to grind xp In online career. 😅 Anything to prevent opponent rage quitting.

As both players lose their move points for the match.

Yeah that was going to be another complaint lol. I think they should be punished for that or the winner should get bonus xp.
