UFC 5 Trouble inviting a friend (Xbox)

I just got UFC 5 and I wanted to play with my friend. We're both on Xbox (he's on Series X and I'm on Series S), but every time we invite each other, it keeps saying "The session is no longer available." Any idea on what's the problem and how to fix this?
