Welcome to the boards! We do regularly pass all the feedback and issues discussed here on to the dev team, so any thoughts and conversations are more than welcome.
When it comes to actually getting your hands dirty and diving into the more detailed feedback opportunities, signing up for EA Playtesting as you mentioned is definitely a good start. The opportunities there can vary quite a bit based on the need for a given title or franchise at a particular time, but that's about as hands-on as it gets for sure.
If we have any other specific ways to participate pop up, we'll definitely let folks know here or on our other channels - so keep an eye out there as well if you aren't already. In the meantime, see you around the boards!
