I'd be down for that

Instead of fixing the MANY other bugs... Instead of finishing the (still beta) implementation of VR...
We get "Anti cheat"....
Upsides:
*Less cheating
I can't care less if someone is cheating... It's mostly a solo game.
Downsides:
*The very real possibility of opening a backdoor for hackers
*Another bug ridden SW running at kernel level ( see the just recently solved memory leak)
*Possible baning due to engine.ini edits, WHICH ARE NECESSARY TO FIX SOME OF THE MANY ISSUES, specially in VR
Conclusion:
Will uninstall an reaffirm the belief that buying ANYTHING EA will bring regrets...
Not even Codemasters was able to bring sanity to this company

It's the same conclusion for me. Unfortunately EA seems not interested to bring a good game to the market and develop it further on.
A lot people (unfortunately I'm one of them) praised the decision to change the developer of the WRC game from Kylotonn to Codemasters ... now I really regret this.
BTW: I think a company which has in every game bugs has probably the same problem with their EA anticheat software. Just search for "EA anticheat problems" you will find a lot of threads.
