In memory of DiRT Rally 2.0 player Jared Silva — seeking Codemasters contact
Hello, I'm hoping someone from the Codemasters team or an EA Racing community manager might be able to point me in the right direction. My son, Jared Silva, was a devoted rally fan and DiRT Rally 2.0 player. In 2022, he recorded what he documented as a Steam world-record run on Fuller Mountain Ascent in Group A, and he was incredibly proud of that accomplishment. Jared passed away unexpectedly in November 2024 at 25 years old. Our family has since created an annual community project in his memory called Jammies From Jared. I'm simply hoping to privately share Jared's story with someone at Codemasters because DiRT Rally 2.0 genuinely meant something to him. I've tried both publicly listed Codemasters email addresses, but both reject incoming mail. I also contacted EA Help this morning, but they weren't able to identify an appropriate internal contact. If PJTierneyCM or another Codemasters/EA Racing team member happens to see this, could you please tell me the best way to send Jared's story privately? Thank you so much, Jodi Jared's Mom
EA Anticheat Removal - when?
Now that EA WRC has more or less been abandoned, at least the horrible EA Anticheat should be removed. Since EA Anticheat was introduced, I haven't been able to play the game, EA didn't care, and I didn't get my money back either. So finally remove EA Anticheat from the game.
Error 1040 Fix (Not Being Able to Make or Join a Multiplayer Lobby)
Just making it easier for those of you who weren't able to find a fix for this error after trying all the other solutions you saw online. What worked for me after finding a 2 year old post, go to your install folder SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\EA SPORTS WRC\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty and rename the OpenXR folder to OpenXRback.
Input lag
Hey geys, so i'm struggling with waht appears to be input lag, it all just feels delayed and laggy giving a rubber band effect to the steering and a very imprecise feeling, having responsive controls is a must in a driving game and i'm sure if the lag is measured by someone it would be very high, here's a video example of it, anyone feeling it? https://streamable.com/ddzvp4GeForce Now support
GeForce Now supports WRC games from 4 to 10 and Generations and Asseto Corsa Rally. I use a Logitech G29 wheel and it works very good (no visible delay). I can set detail level to ultra in any game and play in 2K, so it's a very big plus compared to playing on my Radeon 780M card and EA WRC 24. I play on Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop and the screen is as big as I want which is very nice for rally games. It would be nice to have EA WRC 24 access in GeForce Now to play the same way on ultra settings.
