In the case of my CSL DD being used on PC, I get exactly the same FFB in PC (native) mode as I do in CMP (compatibility) mode. The only difference is that CMP mode changes the base's device ID so that it appears as a Clubsport Wheelbase 2.5. This is so players can use their base with games that were released before the CSL DD existed, or that (for whatever reason) don't detect the base properly in PC mode.
Your GT DD Pro is essentially the same as a CSL DD, just with a PS compatibility chip inside. So I would assume the same will apply in your situation regarding PS5-native vs compatibility mode.
It obviously would still be nice if EA/Codemasters would fix this so that you don't have to go swapping modes on your base, but I'm reasonably certain you won't be missing out on any FFB features or details by doing so.
