So, I hadn't played much since getting my 7800 XT, but just after I noticed I got this message, I went ahead and played a bit more. Spent roughly an hour or so on the Career mode, and I can confirm I'm also getting some black flickering on the level, as well as flickering in the car interior where light is shining on it. I'm not sure what's going on there.
The game is at least playable for me, compared to how it was previously, but yeah...not ideal.
