Road textures from cockpit view way too bright

Product: EA SPORTS™ WRC
Platform:Steam-PC
Summarize your bug Auto exposure for cocpkit view is not set right. Road textures are way too brightt, so bright that is difficult to drive in some occasions.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Drive Mexico, Croatia in Time Trial mode in cockpit view.
What happens when the bug occurs? Road textures too bright.
What do you expect to see? Fix Auto exposure setting.

  • Same problem as everyone here.  I think I just became a Ford man.

Looks like that's my interim solution for for this debacle

At least the ford sounds sweet imho

I am not having this issue but apparently a lot of people on steam are, so I am just going to give this a friendly love bump in hope devs acknowledge this and add it to list of fixes for upcoming patch. Thanks Codies!

  • I am having the same issues. I even have the brightness set to 0 and it is still a problem. The road gets washed out and blends in with the surrounding surfaces. Many times I can't tell what is the road and what is snow.

  • Yeah this is still an issue on a bunch of stages. It seems to do with the auto-exposure and tonemapping rather then anyone's individual brightness controls too.

And on the other hand, I often find th at the dashboard and the like are actually too dark. Shadows are way stronger then they should be , and if you adjust your britghtness so that the outside looks right, the inside of the car is extremely dark.

So what I suspect is happening is that the game is trying to adjust camera exposure for an outside that's bright and an inside that's rather dark, and just splitting the difference.

  • The game is unplayable on PS5 too; most roads are to bright to see where I'm going. Sweden is hopeless to drive; the white brightness is in overdrive...
