Hi @Wuddiworld,
VR support will come at a later time but it's currently only planned for PC. We will announce further information about it once it's time!

But i guess it won´t be anytime this year right?
I just want to let yall know i really enjoy playing this game and even if VR needs more time i can totally understand this.
How come it wasn't implemented at launch? Every single sim has VR support in 2023, except this.
Im partly guessing its to do with the transfer to unreal engine and trying to focus on getting everything else right
What a total disappointment. I just purchased the game and immediately was offput by the way it ran and assumed that I simply needed to launch it different to run VR. I mean, at this point, it's _expected_ that any competent racing sim can run in VR reasonably well. Well done EA, you managed to convince me to get a refund in very short order on this title and once again I'm walking away from an EA product convinced that EA is capable of righteously screwing up anything.
Are you guys really going to give us VR, or did I buy this game for nothing? Give us some info for a little bit of hope at least.
Me uno a la protesta, compre el juego esperando pronto la VR seguimos esperando, personalmente me siento bastante defraudado
@EA_Vendcera are you able to update on VR PC release?
Seems not much has been said about it yet it was advertised as a game feature pre-release so there is an obligation to inform the user base of the reasons for delaying this feature and provide an estimate of the PC VR feature being released. So far it's looking like marketing got a bit excited and what was on offer is unable to be delivered so some kind of communication of reassurance would be appreciated by customers and dampen the hopes of litigation.
What ever your community management policy/PR strategy is (likely influence by EA policy) it's not going well. Talk to us regularly, be honest, own up to mistakes and overly enthusiastic release dead lines and things will run much more smoothly. We still have faith that the move to EA will have more positives than negatives, but if their out of touch corporate/please the share-holders at all costs mentality takes over, things will end in tears.
Please let this be a happy ending and not a negative one. We need transparency and updates, so far things are showing signs of typical EA money grab BS. What DiRT Rally started was amazing and you have our attention and wallets primed, please make this work out. 🤔
I have this game since pre-order and never played it yet as I only play my racing games in VR.
EA told us 3 months ago VR is coming soon after launch. We all patiently wait for No news whatsoever.
EA please, you owe us some news on this at this point, end of January 2024.
Is there progress ? Are we still months away from VR update ? Are you DEFINITELY releasing a VR version ? If not, then grow some balls and tell us please !
Keeping us totally in the dark, like festering mushrooms is frustrating, it is b.s. really.
I have that bad feeling that this will end up like in DR2.0... VR mode will be dropped at some point and thats all.
No proper implementation from beginning and available from launch. Same pattern...
I like the game but without VR i lost the motivation after xmas break.
Game was not finished in time like we can see.
I have a high end pc so i dont bother coz it runs very good due to the top hardware.
Its not the optimisation reason.
And thats why the VR mode is not there... the focus/goal was to release the game before xmas and to finish it after release.
There is UEVR mod but i do not care about it.
I hate all this stupid workarounds and fumble around.
Automobilista 2 shows how it should be... top notch VR mode since release, top performance and outstanding VR graphics.
Well, at the moment i will do not launch it.... have enough to do in DCS World...
The VR mode should have come right at launch and not been added later.
With this approach, the few special aspects of the design for VR are not taken into account and the end result is a half-baked solution.
We can already play WRC in VR with UEVR, but we can also see that certain effects such as shadows, for example, don't work properly because they weren't properly taken into account in the game design.
If anyone else like me, pre ordered and then did not play the game because they are waiting for VR then do what I just successfully did. Tell Steam the story and request a refund. Mine went through in a matter of couple hours. Good Luck.
I have all the rally dames only brought this because it said it was going to be VR pretty fed up No news sounds like a scam to me if so i want my money back i only use v rally vr version the others i never use
When i oppend this thread i was sure it wont take this long to see the VR mode.
But now we are in Season 3 (wich i got for the early access Version) and we all still wait for any informations about VR.
And here we are, 5 month after release no single word about it, i was sure we will get VR mode with Season 3 but nothing not even a single word exept of we still working on it.
This is by far the worst communication with the community i have ever seen.
It can´t be so hard to say like "Sorry we had issues but we planing a release for Season 4 or 5 or whatever"
This way of communication can destroy a whole Company this was one of the first thing i learned in my education as Salesman.
We bought a product for a lot of money, wich means we trusted in this game and developers, but for me and i think a lot of other "investors" we lost a lot of trust.
Long story short this will be the last time i spend money for games of this company.
Last words
in my education we had this phrase: if you make one customer angry it could mean you lost thousends of customers... maybe developers should think about that.
Hey there,
As we said in our Season 3 Update Details:
We are currently working on adding VR support to EA SPORTS™ WRC for PC only. We’ll reveal details once it is ready for release.
We don't have more information regarding this. I know it is frustrating to wait, but as soon as we have something more we'll let you know.
-Groguet
And meanwhile EA WRC is on next sale.... for me its like a slap into face. Well.. i put it into the chapter "lessons learnt".
Hi Groguet, this was appreciated, thanks.
Thank you for your response.
But this is exactly the issue why everyone is quiting the game, i saw this information about "we working on it" but we have this information since almost 6 MONTH.
It starts to getting frustrating you selling this game with the marketing phrase "vr mode after release" for me it´s cheating because you give the expactation of something we maybe never get if this game looses more players.
This is the reason i will never trust EA enymore, had the same with Battlefield and we get the same again, Marketing phrases to get the money but honesty is missing.
Oh and i´m pretty sure yall having more informations but EA preffered lying to customers.
No one would be angry if they would say we need more time even if it would take 6 more month.
OK nevermind im done with EA me and my friends decided never spend any money again on EA games.
Wuddi out
There is now a reset view button in the pause menu in game for vr when using the uevr mod. Codies must have coded it in during the latest patch. Also shadows and pp has been fixed to run in vr.
Yes i noticed it too, VR is looking much better now. Only downside for me is : The menu has disappeared in VR, but it's still displayed on the monitor
Just for reference.....
VR support for Dirt Rally 1 came out over a year after release.
VR support for Dirt Rally 2 came out approx 1 year after release.
If VR support comes by the end of April, EA WRC would have recieved VR support after only 5 months.
We all wanted VR support straight away but we all bought the game knowing it was coming after it's release. I personally hadn't expected it quite so soon if I'm being honest, what with the game being in a completely different engine.
Anyways, with a bit of luck it will be out within the next 2 weeks (preferably sooner) & I'm very eager to try it out. Hats off to Codies for not forgeting about us VR enthusiasts.
