0% gpu usage in game. making the game barely playable due to massive fps inconsistency /drops
don't have integrated graphics tweaked motherboard settings, done fresh driver and game install, reset and removed all graphics config and steam startup config. gpu usage works perfect on other games. saw somebody else with the same issue as me with way better pc.
I am on 4070 super i7 12700k 32gb ddr4 ram xmp enabled(makes no difference enabled and disabled)
apologies for the late response, i get around 30-40% cpu usage when im playing apex and similiar on most other games, but my gpu works on other games!
Community ManagerHow does your CPU usage look? It may be related to a CPU bottleneck.
Thank you for the response, i already have my performance overlay enabled and my wifi/ ping isn't an issue. Also when i use hwinfo after a game it tells me the max my gpu went to was around 10 percent which was other background apps like medal etc.

Just to check, did you see 0% GPU usage in Task Manager? If so, that does not necessarily mean the GPU is not working, because when you tab out of the game to check, the game load can temporarily drop in the background, which may cause it to show as 0%.
For now, I’d suggest referring to this guide and enabling performance display to check your in-game ping and packet loss. That may help narrow down what’s causing the FPS drops.
