Game crashes to desktop when starting matchmaking

After the latest Apex Legends update, my game crashes to desktop every time I click "Ready" to start matchmaking.

The game launches normally.

I can enter the lobby.

As soon as I click "Ready" to search for a match, the game closes to the desktop.

There is no error message.

How can I fix this issue?
