Through monitoring, I've identified the root cause: a massive CPU bottleneck that did not exist before the patch.
- My PC Specifications:
- CPU: Intel Core i5-10400F
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060ti
- RAM: 16GB
- Storage: SSD
- Driver: NVIDIA 552.44
- The Problem:
- Before Season 27: Stable 144 FPS, balanced CPU/GPU usage.
- After Season 27: FPS drops to 30-40 before jump from plane and 80-90 in fights.
- Key Finding: My CPU usage is consistently above 80% while my GPU usage is significantly lower, indicating a severe CPU bottleneck caused by the game's new code.
The problem is 100% with the game's optimization after the update.
I have the exact same problem except I had it even before the Season 27 update. Other users are reporting the same problem after the anti-cheat update in mid-October. It's 100% related to Apex because everything works fine for me in all other games.
