There is a bug with the ranked aura where the red indicator will not go away. Clicking on it, marking it as seen, and having it equipped will make it go away temporarily, but after every match or sign on, the red indicator will come back.
I checked it, and it seems that the aura repeatedly switches between rookie rank and my actual rank, which may be the reason the red indicator keeps showing up.
Every single time no matter what. If you go to the lobby it says you have something new unlocked. When really it's just the Ascension crest. You click on the Ascension crest. It disappears and every single time you go back to lobby. It's right back saying you have something new but it's just the Ascension crest like every single time

Issue:
The red “new/unseen” notification marker on the Ascension Crest Aura will not stay cleared.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to Ballistic → Skins → Auras.
2. Select Ascension Crest.
3. Equip Ascension Crest.
4. Back out to the lobby.
5. Enter Firing Range.
6. Leave Firing Range and return to the lobby.
7. The red notification marker returns again.
Expected result:
After selecting/equipping the Aura, the red notification should clear permanently.
Actual result:
The red notification returns every time the lobby reloads after leaving Firing Range.
Troubleshooting already tried:
- Cleared EA App cache using App Recovery.
- Cleared Epic Games Launcher cache.
- Deleted Apex local cache/state files including previousgamestate.txt and psoCache.pso.
- Equipped Ascension Crest, backed out, unequipped/re-equipped it.
- Re-tested after entering and leaving Firing Range.
Important extra detail:
This is happening to my full 3-stack, not just me. All three of us have the same issue with the Aura notification returning, so it appears to be game-side/account-side rather than a local cache issue.
Every time I go back into the main menu or homepage, there’s that red icon like there’s something new in my inventory and I go and check and every single time its the auras. It’s starting to get really annoying cause I have to keep going in and I find out. I don’t have anything new from my game pass. I have that same stupid thing that keeps coming up and it’s just, you know, the gold thing behind your head when you’re ranked or whatever your rank is. I just want that to stop pinging as something new because it’s annoying. And this is the first season that’s ever done that.
After each game I play (Trios or Mixtape) the aura flips between my current rank (Platinum III) and Bronze variant. It is also marked as a new item in the inventory each time, so it constantly looks like I've got some new cosmetics, which is a bit annoying.
I don't have aura equipped and I haven't player Ranked Leagues this split. The issue had appeared with mid-season patch. I'm playing on Xbox Series X.
