Introduction

This report details an accidental in-game purchase of a Legend using Legend Tokens and requests assistance for a refund or exchange. As a new player, I encountered a user interface interaction that led to an unintended acquisition, significantly impacting my early game experience.

Background

I am a new player, currently at Level 23. My intention was to accumulate Legend Tokens for future purchases, allowing me more time to understand the game's mechanics, various Legends, and their abilities before making a considered decision. As a "free-to-play" player, these tokens represent a significant investment of time and effort.

Incident Description

The accidental purchase occurred while I was browsing cosmetic items. I had recently acquired a skin for a specific Legend from an in-game pack. My goal was to preview how this skin appeared on the Legend. Upon double-clicking the skin to equip it, the system initiated and completed the purchase of the associated Legend without presenting a clear confirmation prompt or additional warning to finalize the transaction.

This sequence of actions led to the immediate and unintended unlocking of a "controller" type Legend, which does not align with my preferred playstyle focused on combat-oriented Legends.

Impact on Player Experience

The accidental purchase has resulted in:

  1. Loss of valuable resources: Approximately three weeks of gameplay were dedicated to accumulating the Legend Tokens spent on this unintended acquisition.
  2. Diminished player satisfaction: The inability to save tokens for a desired Legend, coupled with the frustration of an unclear purchase flow, has negatively affected my initial experience with the game.
  3. Unused content: I have no immediate intention of playing the unlocked Legend, rendering the spent tokens unproductive for my current gameplay preferences.

Request for Resolution

I kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue. I would greatly appreciate either:

  • A refund of the Legend Tokens used for the accidental purchase.
  • An exchange of the unintentionally unlocked Legend for one of the following combat-focused Legends: Ash, Alter, or Revenant.

Additional Feedback

While I am generally enjoying the game, issues like this can significantly detract from the experience, particularly for new players who are still learning the game's systems. Clearer confirmation prompts for high-value purchases would prevent similar incidents for other players.

    First off I'd like to mention that anything related to refunds and so on have to be dealt with through EA Help: https://help.ea.com/en/ as this is a community forum where such things cannot be assisted with.

    As far as I'm aware, EA (sadly enough) does not grant any refunds for Legend Tokens that have been spent, regardless if they did or did not intend to purchase something with said tokens.
