Switch crashes and rejoin errors

I want to keep playing, but I crash every few matches. The hame freezes, and even if I wait, it never unfreezes. The only way to fix it is to restart the game, and usually, I can SOMETIMES rejoin the match I was trying to join. But recently, it displays an internal error or network error, and as a result of something I can't control, I am getting ever-increasing matchmaking delay penalties. For crashes. I want to be able to play this, and not have to worry about being barred from playing just because my game crashes. I am NOT intentionally abandoning matches. Yet I'm being punished as if I was. Please help.
