Critical system freeze when running Apex Legends
Apex Legends causes a full system to freeze approximately 5–15 seconds after entering the lobby. The entire operating system becomes unresponsive (no input, no Task Manager, no BSOD). Only a forced power shutdown recovers the system. Frequency: 100% reproducible When it happens: – After shaders finish loading – While idle in lobby (no matchmaking required) What does NOT help: – Clean reinstall (EA App and Steam) – GPU driver clean install (DDU) – Easy Anti-Cheat repair/reinstall – Windows power/performance changes – Windows Memory Diagnostic (RAM check) – no errors found – Disk error scan (chkdsk) – no bad sectors or file system issues Important: Other demanding games (Battlefield 2042, Assassin’s Creed Mirage) and professional applications (Adobe Illustrator, Figma) run without any issue. This indicates a game-specific or Easy Anti-Cheat kernel-level issue. System: – Windows 11 – ASUS gaming laptop – NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU + Intel Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics iGPU (hybrid graphics) – 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11370H @ 3.30GHz (3.30 GHz) Impact: Prevents gameplay entirely and risks hardware due to repeated forced shutdowns. Note: I have been playing Apex Legends for several years on the same device without any issues. This problem started recently and is the first time the game has become completely unplayable.16Views0likes0CommentsWhole PC Freeze After click log in

I'm getting real tired of the constant "Connection to server timed out" error and/or the "this profile is not permitted to play online" It happens regularly (but not every time) under these scenarios: on first load of the game if i return to lobby (exit after a game) 30-40min of game play....(see additional comment below) this last one is my biggest bugbear and the reason I've given up on ranked. During a game, i suddenly notice everyone and everything freeze, yet my FOV is still moving - ie, i can move the mouse and the character will look around but has frozen. I cannot shoot or anything. I notice in the top right of the screen that both the NETWORK and the LATENCY icons are active. My ping appears normal but all is frozen. After about 10-15s I get the dreaded "connect...timed out" error . Clicking continue takes me to another error screen (can't remember the msg) and clicked OK on this screen, puts be back into the game - with a bit of luck I hadn't been killed and can continue the game. Very annoying and counterproductive when playing ranked. Some days if happens every other game, some days maybe once for the day. I've tried all the suggested fixes from complete reinstall, verification of files, running as admin, and setting the DNS. I'm at a loss. Last comment was that this happened AFTER I switched to fiber NBN. I went from a 50mbps wired connection to a 500mbps fiber one. You'd think I'd see massive improvement but it's actually worse. NBN keep dismissing my complaint as game related. EA technical keep referring me to FAQs and other links which are of no help I'm not familiar with Wireshark, but can something like that help identify what's causing the drop outs?15Views1like0Commentsea.com/unable-to-connect apex
I've already attempted several troubleshooting steps, including restarting both my modem and PC, as well as running the game with administrator privileges, but the issue persists Followed all the steps from previous post. Right click your Apex Legends desktop icon, go to proprieties and under compatibility check disable fullscreen optimizations and run as administrator. Go to the start menu and search for "cmd". Run the command prompt as administrator. Copy and paste this command into the command prompt : ipconfig /flushdns Press enter. Copy and paste this command into the command prompt : netsh int ip reset Press enter. Reboot your computer. Open Apex Legends using the desktop icon. See if the freezing and disconnecting still occurs. Game is still not working.22Views0likes0CommentsApex freezes after first match – RTX * + Ryzen 9800X3D – all fixes tried
Platform: PC System: GPU: NVIDIA RTX * CPU: AMD Ryzen 9800X3D RAM: 64 GB DDR5 OS: Windows 11 (up to date) Game version: Latest Installed via: EA App Driver: NVIDIA Game Ready 560.xx (tried also 559.xx rollback) Issue Every single session, Apex Legends freezes after completing the first match. The game runs perfectly fine during the first match (240+ FPS stable), but right after it ends — in lobby, loading, or pre-match screen — the game do a micro freeze evry 5 seconds It is not a crash. No error code. No dump. It just locks up. Things I’ve already tried (none worked): Deleted all config files in Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local Disabled all overlays (Discord, NVIDIA, Steam) Reinstalled EA App and cleared AppData + cache folders Reinstalled Apex Legends on a different SSD Forced DX11 with -eac_launcher_settings SettingsDX11.json Adjusted videoconfig.txt: Texture streaming to * Made file read-only Changed all graphics settings (including shadow detail, streaming budget to NONE) Turned off Reflex, v-sync, g-sync Performed clean GPU driver install with DDU (tried 3 different versions) Set process priority to HIGH and disabled full-screen optimization Launched as admin Tested with and without high polling rate peripherals Notes This is the only game with issues on my system. All other demanding titles (Warzone, ACC, F1, etc.) run flawlessly The issue seems to be triggered by memory overflow or driver conflict after match #1. There are similar reports from users with RTX */*and 7800X3D/9800X3D-class CPUs. Temporary workaround Currently the only working workaround is: Play one match Exit the game manually after match Relaunch Apex Not sustainable, but proves it’s a persistent session memory or post-match state issue. Please investigate This bug seems linked to next-gen GPUs or driver incompatibility, possibly due to VRAM handling or anti-cheat interaction. It’s affecting multiple users with new builds. If devs need logs, dumps, or a dxdiag, I’ll be happy to provide it. Thanks.169Views1like2CommentsPlease fix the freezing problem
Every couple games I get into my game freezes and kicks me out saying connection has timed out and when I trying joining back into the game it says unable to rejoin the game and this is happening in pubs and ranked so I keep demoting and getting a leave penalty.8Views0likes0CommentsWildcard mode sudden delay error
I'm reporting a bug that only occurs in Wildcard mode. During matches, network lag occurs randomly and frequently, specifically a sudden increase in latency from 30ms to around 200ms, accompanied by about a one-second screen freeze and pop-up icons for UCMD delay, Lag Compensation, congestion, etc. I found other players online with the same problem, and their solution was to disable computer Ram Expo. I tried that, but the bug persists. It only happens in Wildcard mode and severely impacts gameplay. Below are my computer specs and a video link showing the problem.
