Battlefield RedSec Bug Report 2
Battlefield RedSec Bug Report 2
| Just like the last report, I have visual footage of everything that I will list here, I'll link the video at the end of the report. |
"Bug 1: Twitching Safes and Loot Boxes."
- When you pick up loot near or inside a Safe or Loot Box, there's a good chance that it will visually twitch, more specifically, it will move from side to side very quickly before going back to its original position.
- This also seems to happen when opening the Safe with the blow torch, or when you simply walk near the edges of the Loot Boxes.
- My take, is that the HitBoxes from the player and loot, probably interferes with the normal state and the HitBox of the Safe and Loot Box.
- This is also totally and only a visual issue, and this does not interfere with the gameplay.
"Bug 2: Incorrect Ammo Count while Spectating other Players."
- This bug seems to occur almost all the time, basically, after you die, and you start spectating someone, you will see a bugged amount of ammo under the weapons of the person you're spectating.
- I believe this might happen because the game remembers the ammo you had before you died, and overlaps those amounts over the ones of the persone you're spectating.
- This is just a visual bug, but can lead to confusion among the players, and I'm saying this because it led to confusion among me and my friends.
"Bug 3: Misplaced Rocks Near Slope"
- At the location shown in the video, there are some rocks that seem to have been placed in the wrong spot, as they make it so you can see thru them when looking at them from below.
- This isn't game breaking or even game interfering, it's just something that can slip thru the cracks!
"Bug 4: Air Strike Indicator showing up Under the Map"
- At random times, in any match, on your screen can suddenly appear the indicator, used in the Air related attacks, under the map very far away from you, even if you don't have the Air Strike in your inventory.
- I remain clueless to why this could have happened, even after getting the bug many times and watching footage again and again, my best guess is that the game kinda freaks out when someone else uses an Air Strike and can randomly make you see where it was used at.
- This also doesn't affect gameplay, but can be weird to witness for the first times you see this.
"Bug 5: Flying Assets after buildings are Destroyed"
- This can occur pretty commonly when Big Buildings get Destroyed, more easily, the Walls.
- What happens is, that even after the Walls or Floors are Destroyed, some Assets will remain floating and they won't be destroyed, this can also happen with just the light that is emitted from some light bulbs, and with Opened Loot Boxes.
- This can become game interfering and breaking, because people could exploit these flying assets to remain in unintended spots or gain an advantage over someone who clearly would expect someone to be on top of a flying wall lamp.
- My guess is that, since these assets are all different, they might not always register when the things they are connected to get destroyed, thus making them float.
"Bug 6: Parachute Disappears from Air Drop before Detaching."
- This happens most of the time when Air Drops come down from the sky, if you look up at the Air Drop, you'll be able to see that just before the Parachute Detaches, it will disappear for a split second, and will reappear before Detaching from the Air Drop.
- This is Purely Visual and doesn't affect the game in any way.
"Bug 7: Training Dummies that have no Collision."
- In the spot shown in the video, there are Training Dummies that have no player Collision, you can just walk into them and see inside of them.
- This isn't game breaking but it is definitely weird seeing something that should have collision and instead just phase right through them.
"Bug 8: Metal Shelf that can be Climbed only from the Front."
- At the location shown in the video, there is a Shelf, that can only be climbed from the front side, there's no way to climb it from the spider of from the back.
- This isn't game breaking as it doesn't let you go anywhere unintended, but it is an inconsistency.
"Bug 9: Floating Fluid Container."
- At the location shown in the video, there appears to be a Fluid Container that stands on top of a slope, the things is that it stands so much after the slope has already dropped down, that it doesn't make sense as to how it is still standing and it hasn't fell down.
- This is just visual, and again is just an inconsistency.
"Bug 10: Antenna Missions Ejecting the Player instead of the player letting go of it."
- The Antennas in the Antenna missions, after being calibrated, will eject the player, meaning that they'll usually be teleported on the sides of the Antenna, instead of the Player letting go of the Antenna.
- This is best seen from another players view.
- This is just a visual issue, but it may seem weird to the players with a precise look over things.
"Bug 11: Clip through Crashed Planes small opening."
- At the shown location in the video, inside the Crashed Plane, there is a small opening, that let's you phase through the side of the plane, only from the inside out.
- This can give a competitive advantage to people abusing this, as you can kinda hide inside of the opening without actually getting out, remaining inside of the unintended plane hiding.
"Bug 12: Stuck Under Tank Container Ramps."
- Whenever you pick up a key to open any of the Tank Container to get a tank, you can, after you've started opening the Container, stay under the Ramps that come down from the back of the Container, and stay under them, while still being Up, and not Crouched or Prone, you'll be met with Glitchy interaction between your HitBox and the Ramps HitBox, you'll be half penetrated into the ground and half into the Ramp, although, you need to keep moving forward in order to do this, as normally the game automatically moves you out of the way.
- This can be weird for someone who may do this randomly, even tho you can easily escape by moving to the sides of the ramp.
"Bug 13: Look Through the Back of the Crashed Plane."
- At the shown location in the video, you can go on top of the back of the plane, near the "blade" that let's the plane turn, in is slightly moved to the left, making it stick out, this part that sticks out, has no collision, so you can press your right side against this part of the plane, and you'll be able to see through it completely, it is very buggy, but you can see where players are, without them seeing you.
- This can very easily give competitive advantage over other people, so it is GameBreaking.
"Bug 14: Floating Custom Weapon Drops afte they hit the Ground."
- The Custom Weapon Drops can spawn anywhere in the map, this includes places that may be too high or short for the Drops, or just about anywhere, including rough surfaces, this makes, for Floating Drops, that stay either just above the ground, or so high up from the ground, that you can slide under them.
- This is most likely caused from the rough terrain they can land on, or maybe because they don't recognise the real height they should be at because of the surrounding terrain being higher than where it actually landed.
"Bug 15: Broken Game right after the start of the Match."
| This is Probably the most important bug that I've stumbled across, please, if you ever read this, this need to be addressed and looked into. |
- Randomly and Very Rarely, this happened only once, to my whole team, out of all the matches I've done, the game can completely break on its own.
- After starting a match, and going through the initial Cutscene before the Helicopters where you're supposed to jump from, the game can just make you skip the helicopter part, and you'll spawn in a random part of the map, completely separated from your team, you'll hear most of the sounds muffled, excluding voices, grunts and some sounds from explosions.
- If you die, this won't be fixed, plus, you will not have a Second Chance, so when your team eventually dies, the match will just end, without making you respawn for the second chance.
- I don't know how to reproduce this, I went through the footage but I found nothing weird, at all, this seems like a total chance problem and if you do find out why this happens, it needs to be fixed as fast as possible, because even if it's rare, it will happen again to someone.
"Bug 16: Falling Closed Loot Boxes in Buggy Places."
- Earlier I said that Opened Loot Boxes won't fall if the ground they're on is broken, but, the Closed ones do seem to fall when the ground gets destroyed, and when they do, they can fall into very Buggy Places, for reference look at my video, and you won't be able to open them sometimes.
- This can be frustrating as someone might need loot upon Respawn, but he won't be able to take it, since the Box is in a Bugged Location.

I hope this helps in the case that anyone is going to see this, if these things have already been reported I am sorry, I'm trying my best too to help make the game better, good luck and see you next time.
