Black Screen of Death

I've been playing BF6 on PC for a few weeks now, more often than not the game has been ok - occasional lag in places and other small problems. However, of late the game has been having major problems when running. When trying to quit out of a multiplayer match I often get a black screen and the only way to resolve is to alt+F4 my way out of there and re load the entire game. Today I have also experienced the issue of the game (again in multiplayer) freezing entirely and the sound completely cutting out. I have restarted the game and checked system settings etc, but if this continues I simply can't play online multiplayer BF6. Anyone else had this issue or know of any possible solutions? Really hope this is resolved ASAP.

Hey there. Thanks for reaching out. Here's a few suggestions that may help with this.

    • If your monitor is using a high refresh rate (144 Hz, 240 Hz, etc.), try lowering this to 60 Hz and then launch BF6. Then, once loaded back to the menu, switch back to the previous refresh rate.
    • Try using borderless windowed mode. Not full screen.
    • Disable DirectX 12 or revert back to DirectX 11.
    • Do a clean install of your GPU drivers. Try the latest version if you've got an older one.
    • Disable any overlays. Steam, EA App, etc.
    • Repair/verify your game files.

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!
