Can't change class after death

After top gun update I can no longer change the class after death. I enjoy playing the game but every time there's an update there's more problems and bugs. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game but it did not fix the bug. Still having the same issue not being able to change class mid game after death. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
