Critical Crash Issue on "Eastwood" Map (BF6 Season 1) - No Error Code

Dear Battlefield Development Team,

This is my first bug report, but I’ve been a loyal fan of the Battlefield series for 13 years—I’ve played nearly every title since Battlefield 2, and Battlefield 6 was my most anticipated release in recent years. Unfortunately, since the Season 1 update, I’ve encountered a game-breaking crash issue specific to the new map "Eastwood," and I hope this report helps resolve it.

Issue Summary:

The game crashes suddenly and without warning only when matched into the Season 1 map "Eastwood." All other maps (including launch maps and previous updates) work perfectly with no crashes. When the crash occurs, there is no error code, no pop-up message, and the game simply closes to the desktop. This happens in both Breakthrough and Conquest modes (I’ve tested both extensively, and the issue is consistent).

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Queue for any game mode (Breakthrough/Conquest) that includes the "Eastwood" map.
  2. Once the map loads and the match begins (or sometimes during the initial deployment screen), the game crashes instantly to the desktop.
  3. 100% Reproducibility: The crash occurs every single time "Eastwood" is selected; no other maps trigger this issue.

System Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090
  • RAM: 128GB DDR5
  • Background Apps: Only essential software is running: Huorong Antivirus, QiYou Accelerator, Steam, EA App, and SpyderUtility (a professional screen color calibration tool). No other background programs are active during gameplay.

Additional Context:

  • I purchased Battlefield 6 directly via the EA App (not Steam) for 742 HKD (order reference available upon request).
  • I’ve already performed extensive troubleshooting, including:
    • Verifying game files via the EA App.
    • Updating GPU drivers (currently NVIDIA 581.80).
    • Restarting my PC and closing all non-essential background apps.
    • FULLY REINSTALLING THE GAME (deleted all local files and redownloaded via EA App).
  • After reinstallation, the crash behavior changed slightly: previously, it crashed with a brief black screen immediately upon launching the game (when Eastwood was selected), but now it crashes after entering the loading screen and during the progress barbut the crash itself still occurs 100% of the time on Eastwood.
  • The crash persists even at lower graphics settings (I tested High/Medium/Low presets to rule out GPU overload).

I have a deep affection for the Battlefield series, and this issue is preventing me from enjoying new content. I’m happy to provide further details (such as dxdiag logs, crash dumps, or hardware reports) if needed. Thank you for your hard work on the game—I hope this report helps fix the Eastwood map crash for all players!

Best regards,
XIANPIAOLIN
