"Deal Damage" Challenges Inaccurate Calculation

Example being "Deal damage with the Incendiary Airburst Launcher as Support" in the Support Specialist 3 challenge. The requirement is only 2000 dmg, however I'm going full matches of 30+ kills and ticking damage that far exceeds what I am being given as I'm only using that launcher the entire duration of these matches.

I've restarted my client and game many times, and it's not only this challenge specifically but also challenges like grenade damage etc. I know I'm not the only one with this issue as I've asked through the BF discord and others have mentioned the progress accumulation is completely wrong.
