Unfortunately it is not only a beacon and "Assault" challenge - although I am suffering from the same issue - don't have the beacon unlocked.
Also. I finished Support Specialist 3 challenge - everything unlocked EXCEPT the Support ELITE BADGE. And TBH, that was one thing I was looking forward to.
The whole Assignments/Challenges are completely broken, unstable and borderline crime to have in a game for this money.
Another example of broken challenge - in Support Specialist 3 there is a challenge to "inflict damage with airburst weapon" (that you unlock in previous tier). However, the "damage" you are supposed to deal is for some dumb reason (bug) "DIRECT HIT". Meaning I had to run around the map, hide in the corner, wait for people to come my way, shoot my 3 shots into someones face, die and repeat. Horribly broken game.
