DirectX 12 GPU Hang Error
Hello!
I'm running a Windows 11 system with a Ryzen 7 5800x and a EVGA NVidia GeForce 1080ti in it that has been running Battlefield 6 Fantastically at about 60-70FPS at 1080p Medium-High. Today, however, every time I startup the game, it appears to load up completely normally all the way into the game (including into campaign missions). However, ANY AND ALL attempts to load the matchmaking screen (say I selected Breakthrough at the main menu, hit play, and on the screen where I would actually be pressing the button to begin matchmaking) instantly freeze, and opens a popup menu with the following error:
DirectX function "m_submitFencePlat -> GetCompletedValue()" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. "). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080Ti", Driver: 58180. D:\dev\TnT\Code\Packages\RenderCore2\dev\source\platform\Dx12\SubmissionManagerDx12.cpp. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers.DeviceRemovedReason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG (The GPU will not repsond to more commands)
I have attempted the following in terms of troubleshooting my system and the game:
- - Updated Windows to its latest version and ensured no other updates were pending
- Reinstalled NVidia Game Ready Driver 581.80 - - Cleared DX Cache
- - Cleared GL Cache
- - Cleared BF6 Shader Cache
- - Verified the integrity of game files via Steam (3 files failed to verify and were reinstalled, error persists post reinstall)
- -RE verified integrity of game files via Steam post file re-install
- - Verified that Windows actually recognizes my 1080ti and it's drivers in Device Manager and Task manager.
- - Verified that the 1080ti is actually fully plugged into its PCIe port (including re-seating it)
- - Verified that the 1080ti is not overheating or throttling during game launch / opening suspect menu
Any and all help, suggestions, or further troubleshooting on the issue would be hugely appreciated!
