DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED crash above 80 FPS
I’ve been experiencing repeated DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED and DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG crashes in Battlefield 6 (RedSec mode and regular matches) using an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT.After extensive testing, I discovered that the game only crashes when the framerate exceeds 80 FPS.If I cap the framerate to 80 or lower, the game runs perfectly stable for hours without any crashes. This strongly suggests a GPU driver or DX12 pipeline timeout issue under heavy frame load.
OS: Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (fully updated)
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (Sapphire Nitro+) Driver: AMD Adrenalin 25.10.2 (WHQL)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D
RAM: 32 GB G.SKILL Trident Z Neo DDR4-3600
PSU: Seasonic 1000W
I’ve already tried performing a full driver cleanup using DDU, but it didn’t produce any positive results. I also tested previous drivers, including version 25.9.1, with the same outcome — the game still crashes above 80 FPS. I don’t have any stability or performance issues with any other games.
