EA App forces full Battlefield 6 download after updates

Battlefield 6 is already fully installed on my PC through the EA App. When an update becomes available, I am required to update before I can play, but the EA App downloads essentially the entire game again rather than just the update.

This is particularly problematic because the game cannot be played without installing the mandatory update. A player can have a limited amount of free time available, only to discover that they cannot play because they must wait for another ~100 GB download.

This should be investigated as an update/patching issue. A game that is already installed should not routinely require the entire installation to be downloaded again for a relatively small update.

This is outright unacceptable. If I had bought the game and season pass, the amount of money I had poured in just to stare update screen is ridiculous. The whole point of this game is the ability to hop in quickly when having spare time for a round or two.

Please confirm whether this is a known issue with the EA App/Battlefield 6 patching system and whether a fix is being worked on.
