EAAntiCheatService hard crash

Ever since the last anti cheat update (not the game update) I'm experiencing random crashes to desktop. There's no game freezing. Just a very fast crash that exits to desktop without any message.
Event viewer in all cases show this:

The description for Event ID 1 from source Application cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

EAAntiCheatService
ExitType: 95 (298)

The message resource is present but the message was not found in the message table

I get the same issue when I am using iCue to control my fans/keyboard/headset/mouse. Unless I close out of iCue, I get a hard crash to desktop randomly during matches and upon using the event viewer, I see that the Javelin 95 issue is what killed the game. However, there is no popup or error message without using the event viewer, which is super weird.

  • I get this as well, almost every game, particularly late game it crashes to desktop. Details below:

    Application log: ExitType: 95 (298)

System log: EAAntiCheatService terminated with error %%4294901855

    sc.exe queryex EAAntiCheatService shows:

    WIN32_EXIT_CODE: 4294901855 (0xffff005f)

    SERVICE_EXIT_CODE: 0 (0x0)

    Secure Boot: enabled

    TPM: present

    Hyper-V/virtualisation: disabled

    No RGB/Logitech software running

No third-party file system filters in fltmc

    Only BF6 crashes

    No system instability

  • Still happens got this today on windows 11

    EA Javelin Anticheat

    ExitType: 95 (298)

  • all the way up to last night everything was working fine, this morning I'm unable to complete a match. I've uninstalled EAAnticheat and reinstalled it but still the same issue?

Sorry for the very late reply but the email notification went into spam!
This could indeed be an anti-cheat issue but it shouldn't be related to that old issue, because that one was fixed shortly after I reported it. Unfortunately the EAAntiCheat is very picky. If you have any Windows-specific customization software (Windhawk, Start11, etc) try disabling them temporarily.

  • I have the same issue, tried everything. I suspect it's because I'm using an EPYC processor in windows 10 and the chip set drivers are for windows server 2016 but not sure.

I have all the windows updates, secure boot etc.. reinstalled the software still get kicked. Sometimes I can play for a few hours without any issues though.
