Engineer Challenge not tracking repairs

I cannot make any progression in the engineer challenge because I don't get any points for repairing vehicles. I have repaired many vehicles and I only get 20 points the very first time I repair and then I don't get anymore points. Not even the first 20 points count toward challenge.
