Gas mask button does not work

Notice also in the video my squadmates were having the same issue with the prompt so it wasnt just local to me. 

I am also having this issue where when spawning in to contamination (on PS5) gas mask is not present not even the icon. I also have been experiencing the worst lag in this game currently since release with gig speed internet not sure what they have done to cause this. The mask not working makes this cool new game mode basically unplayable unfortunately.

Same issue on PS5. I'm just gonna skip this map entirely until it's fixed - distortion is one thing but the funny gas is literally making me see things that aren't really there and i'm wasting so much ammo

Weird. I am on PC and when I enter the gas areas, the gas mask is automatically put on.

I spent a good 30 seconds shooting a squadmate who I hadn't noticed had spawned on me while we were in a cloud. It was pretty funny, but in the grand scheme of things, it makes playing in the gas very difficult. 

Same here on XBox, key is assigned, but nothing happens, with either holding or press once.

Same here, pc version, casual breakthrough.

Seems to be a big bug then if a lot of people are having the issue. I asked in game on global and a few people noticed it as well not working.
