There is a user.cfg fix going around you could try, add the following lines to it:
Thread.ProcessorCount 8
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 16Change the 8 and 16 to the cores and threads your CPU has, in this case it would remain the same since you have 8 cores and 16 threads. When looking at the advanced overlay in-game without this fix the engine is trying to assign 16 cores and 14 threads for me, which is impossible because my CPU only has 8 cores and 16 threads. The fix cut CPU usage down by a lot for me and yielded more stable framerate,
