Good afternoon, when playing today in aircrafts I came across missiles that would not warn me with a "incoming" message and would die. I believe these examples I added you can see that I would fly in a far distance and not have any "painted", "locked", or "incoming" warning of a missile strike. Even if I was locked or painted i would still have an "incoming" warning when the missile is approaching. The IFV tank has a lock-on only "MR Missiles" which the description says "unless intercepted with countermeasures" it can lock-on faster and for farther range WHEN target have been marked with laser designator or tracer-dart (meaning painted). When flying I was not painted nor fully locked on when the missiles hit me. Please fix this as soon as possible. Thank you.

Yeah really frustrating, hope this will be fixed fast because peoples are already abusing it by camping at their spawn and doing it all the game

I have been in the IFV and shooting down aircrafts the last 2h. We pretty much disabled the entire enemy airforce by ourself, from spawn.
But I **bleep**ing hated the aircrafts in the other battlefield games, so this is retribution!!! for now untill they fix it.
The only thing the flares do is that they interupt the locking seqence from the gunner of the IFV.
The seqence is:
IFV gunner needs to lock target 2-3 sec. (sometimes it refuces to lock no mater what you do == buged interface -> you need to switch to machingun and back to painter again, happens like every 1/10 times you try to lock something)
When the lockon is set, it takes the driver 1 sec to lock the missile to the lock.
Then launch missile and wait for points.
If you are in a:
Heli = "You are dead!!!" there is nothing you can do, abandon ship!!!
Jet = If you are lucky! and have a head start you can outpace it.
The only one that survied almost all engagement was a jet the did divebombs from high altetudes. 500m above. because he always had a headstart and often when the lock was set he was on the way outside the lauch range (about 800m) - Lynx_Afrika2 months agoNew Spectator
There’s a glitch that causes the IFV’s lock-on guided missile to ignore flares.
Normally, this missile can’t lock onto jets or helicopters, but if they are marked, the missile will fly directly toward them. There’s nothing you can do against it, and it makes jets and helicopters basically unplayable until this issue is fixed.PLEASE DICE/EA FIX THIS ASAP

Besides the lack of any notifications, using helicopters flares doesn't remove the painted effect which subsequently kills you with a hit from MR Missle.
It's simply unbelievable how impossible it is to play in a helicopter when an enemy APC goes AFK on the edge of the enemy spawn zone and kills you with one shot 100% of the time, being more effective than his anti-aircraft vehicle. - Pxm782 months agoNew Spectator
