Inconsistent Loadout Saves

What is up with the loadouts?  I confirm all my loadouts are how I want it in the main menu but dependent on a server I join, they will revert to either an older loadout save or something I never even selected.  I then have to reset it up in game (which changing loadouts in game does not save them and cross over game to game which is also dumb).  But then if I back out to main menu it's correctly set up.

Why am I constantly having to fix my loadouts?  There's already so many menus you have to go through to set it up how you want and to have to constantly redo it is annoying as hell
