Match Making

Why in this bf have they tried fixing something that was never broken in any previous battlefields.

Why when a match ends do you shut the room down and rebuild a fresh every time? If you allowed the players in the room to stay you would greatly eliminate the need to populate rooms with bots.

Also on games like rush and breakthrough, teams would get to play attack and defense as you could effectively swap ends when starting a new game. Ie run a map twice, switch teams that stay to the opposite end before changing to a new map.

You limit cross play to either on or off, why have you not got an option for console cross play allowing Xbox and playstation players to play together without having to play against PC players? does that not make sense to make match making better and therefore limit the use of bots?

Lastly why have you taken out the ability to choose a region in the world? Why should we be forced into lobbies where playing against people on the other side of the world? There is no option other than what the game dictates. It forces us to play against others with high pings, and this massively affects hit registration and game play.

These are basics that most of not all the previous bf's have gotten right, changing this like you have has had a massive detrimental effect on the game, I know many that have left the game due to these issues, mainly as they are being forced to play in lobbies half populated with bots.

Devs need to sort this out and quickly or you risk losing more and more players, the game has already lost a massive amount of players. Don't kill it further

  • They are trying an opened door approach to appeal to the COD meth heads, same reason movement speed was brought back in the last update among other toxic features that community has grown to know

  • I'm certain that it is cheaper to spin up a new lobby, instead of persistent lobbies. It is probably also true for aggregating players across all regions. What I don't understand is the decision to split the lobbies for PS and Xbox. Have they done a deal with Sony? Is there a cost benefit? What am I missing here?

I can't see there being a difference in cost just the coding in the first place to make it happen. Even if it were true, it is more costly to lose players and have more lobbies half populated with bots rather than full lobbies with players wanting to log in
