QA Ticket, DMR GRT - Chemical doesnt change nor save loadout in game

Description: The new DMR GRT is great, but it does not allow the player to change its load out in-game. Though visually you can choose a new lens, but when spawned in it remains the same loadout.

Expected Results: Players can change loadout of GRT as each unlockable becomes avaliable.
Actual Results: Loadout is locked despite unlocked attachments.

Reproduction Steps:
1. Launch BF6.exe
2. Make sure GRT - Chemical Spectre is unlocked.
3. Load into any map or any game.
4. Go into load out anytime in a match
5. Change loadout on GRT to anything but default.
6. Observe player changes are not saved.

Platform: PC
Version: 1.2.1.0

  • You cant modify the weapon in the main menu Loadout either. Its completely locked, each Attachement you try to add gets reverted to the standard one.

  • It might be related to something on the weapon package itself. I've had something similar before where I couldn't change scope before going back to the default version of the weapon. I think it was because I hadn't unlocked an attachment or the main gun itself, but can't fully remember.

I was able to change attachments for this gun when I was playing last night, but I was just using a default package that I unlocked in the Battlepass rather than the weapon package.

Usually, you cannot edit attachments if you're using a special Weapon Package version of a gun; it's one of the pre-built variants with a unique look, and it comes with a fixed set of attachments.

Usually you could tho, ive changed out the mini scout golden variant from last season to fit my preferences. Im going to actually unlock the item and see if that changes anything should have an update end of the week.

im guessing load out is locked until you actually obtain the item. 🤷‍♀️

Heres a visual of me changing the load out, but I already own the gun fully from battle pass, im not sure if that has anything to do with it?

In the video below, Player has obtained the new weapon from the battle pass so I was able to change loadouts. VS before when I didnt have it, but im almost positive that you could have changed it before hand? Video below is showing that its working as intended being able to change the special skin.
