Recon Specialist 2 bug

I can confirm this happens on PC too. Tried marking with dart, tracking or untracking, using binoculars to designate. It does not progress. Not only that but it does not even show 0/2000 but just /2000 
No number in front of it at all.

The wording could be A LOT better, the challenge requires damage dealt to vehicles that you have laser designated with weapons that require lock on. So mainly your MBT-LAW and MAS 148 on engineer i believe although Heli and Jet weapons count too, you're looking for the pop up "Guided assist" (or something along those lines).

Only damage done to vehicles that give you the "Guided assist" pop up count towards the challenge.

I figured it out. So using the laser designator you have to paint a target. My friend found out with SLM-93a if a tank is painted the rocket gives the option to lock on it took 3 shots to get 1k damage done so 6ish shots total for the challenge to be done. Also a enemy does have to be in the vehicle. Hope this helps!

Does not work for me too. no combination of weapon and target works for me.

im on the 10 200 meter headshaots , i have been at 9/10 5-6 times and it resets to 0 , switching to a new game will fix it

The damage only counts from lock on weapons, as they have nerfed lock on weapons, no one is using them, 10 hours played doing noting but creating lock-on targets 300 progression, like a lot of what EA does this is a P**S take, utter incompetence and utter interreference to how it impacts on paying customer experience, half arsed challenges, no thought to busy selling garbage skins
