Mimic is a loadout. Make sure you click SMG tab, then click SGX, then click Modify. You should see Mimic as one of the loadout options. It is not a skin.

I know that. Other loadouts were unlocked fine, but the mimic one is still locked
Same for me. It's written there that "Unlocked as a promotional reward", but it's still locked...
