I literally just rage quit from a game where we couldn't get a single tank or IFV out of our spawn.
I died twice to AT mines dropped by someone running into our spawn point
I died once to EOD AT mines dropped by an EOD bot directly in front of my tank
I died once to the actual EOD bot torching the tanks as I tweaked my loadout
I almost got out of my spawn when I used countermeasures by swapping my gunner seat and then back, but then at 5 RPG's from a squad running into my spawn, giving me literally nowhere to retreat to.
All they need to is:
- Any mines dropped in enemy spawn point detonate immediately and kill the offending player
- EOD bots break as soon as they drive behind enemy HQ lines
- When behind enemy lines if you fire your gun, you die
- When behind enemy lines if you use a gadget, you die
And if they're feeling extra helpful:
They would give players a brief spawn shield to protect them when spawning in their HQ
On far too many maps, you can see directly into the enemy spawn point, shooting them literally as soon as the pop into the world.
How is that okay?
How did that make it through testing?
This is literally the most basic concepts when designing maps for a competitive multiplayer game.
But, at this point, I'm convinced they don't give a **bleep**.
