steam says the game is not released for the update but I can play

So I bought the game and preloaded on release day, steam updated and loaded battlefield so I can play but the initial update for the game still says game not released and steam will not download day 1 update. I can play the game and enjoy it but its odd that steam says the game is not released for the update. otherwise fantastic game.
