"Stepped" Blocky Terrain on all maps

I'm seeing blocky terrain in close proximity to my point of view (so it only seems to affect close-range LOD).
This is on all maps and it obscures aiming at the best of times and of course looks awful. It only seemed to show up in the most recent patch and I didn't change my settings.
I tried adjusting graphic detail settings up and down and nothing seems to change this effect.

It looks a bit like Minecraft or something. Very strange.
I uploaded a clip here:

And my specs are as follows:

  • Operating System: Windows 11 Enterprise Insider Preview 64-bit (10.0, Build 26300) (26100.ge_release_flt.250909-1321)
  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-10850K CPU @ 3.60GHz (20 CPUs), ~3.6GHz
  • Memory: 32768MB RAM
  • Card name: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
  • Display Memory: 32319 MB
  • Dedicated Memory: 15995 MB
  • Driver version: 620.02

Hi there. Thanks for the report and for sharing the clip. That terrain effect definitely does not look right, especially if it started only after the latest patch and is happening on all maps.

Could you please try the following steps first?

    1. Clear your shader caches
      • Close the game and the EA app/Steam completely.
      • Delete the NVIDIA DXCache folder here:
        C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\DXCache
      • Then run Windows Disk Cleanup and select DirectX Shader Cache.
      • Restart your PC after doing this.
    2. Repair or verify the game files
      • EA app: Manage - Repair
      • Steam: Properties  Installed Files - Verify integrity of game files
    3. Reset your local game settings
      • Go to:
        C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Documents\Battlefield 6\settings\
      • Back up the folder first, then rename or remove the settings/PROFSAVE files so the game can create fresh ones.
    4. Test with default graphics settings
      • Turn off Dynamic Resolution.
      • Turn off upscaling/frame generation temporarily.
      • Try testing with a default graphics preset
  • Thank you for the suggestions. I went through the steps to remove all cached shaders, restarted, verified game files, removed settings, and used default graphics settings. Unfortunately, the terrain looks exactly the same still.
