The AI straight line speed is absolutely absurd. I can have DRS and dump the entire battery running 0-0 wings and still not overtake or be able to defend.
it was the same on launch for either F123 or F124 and it took like a month to fix it and it was unplayable the entire time.
EA_Groguet Yes, I have the same issue on 75, my gf has the same issue playing on 55. We see how we get a better exit out of the corner before the straight, catch up ~0.150s and then AI starts pulling away, in the end we fall behind .300 or more per straight
I’ve been experiencing the same thing, thought I was crazy. I will watch rewinds of ai in straights and even the sound of the car is “fast” than mine ever reaches if that makes sense. Looks like they were shot out of a canon .. btw usually have ai on around 75-85 depending on track
Yes, I'm playing at 102 difficulty and feel exactly the same, the AI are Rocket ship, It Is impossible to defend in any situation. For me, the game Is unplayable in this state

I’ve got to say after playing it now for a couple of weeks it’s probably not as bad as when first discovered with tuning setups etc. but it’s definitely still there, some tracks it seems worse than others, not sure if it’s an engine overheat thing or the fact the AI seem to have an unlimited battery.

Yes. I'm playing below 100. Me and a friend is playing at difficulty 89 on Two Player Career and we are experiencing the same thing with the AI to fast on straights.

Racing in Baku and 0.2 behind a car, car behind is 0.4. Somehow with overtake I get absolutely swarmed by ai cars coming past like torpedos. It's making my team mode unplayable.
I've had this exact problem, I'm running races at around 105 AI and for quali lowering it to 103/104.
During the races I'm just getting killed on the straights, at Imola I easily lose a second down the start/finish straight, and I'm running setups that all the setup guides/websites suggest to run.
The wet is another issue entirely, but I feel like the AI just need tuning back a tad just to make it more equal, if it's unlimited ERS, exit grip whatever.
Seem to remember this was an issue in F1 2019 aswell when they would just have such an advantage, once it got patched then the racing was a lot more fun
