The AI straight line speed is absolutely absurd. I can have DRS and dump the entire battery running 0-0 wings and still not overtake or be able to defend.
it was the same on launch for either F123 or F124 and it took like a month to fix it and it was unplayable the entire time.
I'm playing around level 80-85 difficulty. I realise part of the issue may be related to a mix of difficulty and car performance early on in the career, but I've definitely noticed that I catch the AI in the corners due to how necessarily early they brake, but they do seem to have very quick straight-line speed. I can deploy ERS & DRS and it seems like I'm not catching up to the car ahead quick enough. This means I have to late-brake and dive bomb to get past. Dunno if this is intentional, or just that the other cars are indeed to quick in a straight line, but definitely seems more like the latter.

No one is ignoring you. This issue has been reported and escalated. AI changes are risky, and they cannot be done overnight. The team doesn't want to make rushed decisions. These concerns are valid, and we hear you, but the team is still looking into it.

Dont play high downforce setups or something. Ask Chatgpt to make a proper setup make him your mechanic. But also yeah even if you have decent topspeed theyre rocket launchers still. It doesnt matter somehow.
EA_Groguet Gonna be completely honest but this does not sound believable.
Already within the first week off release someone created a mod that just changes one little parameter in the xml file that is downloaded with the game, and with the mod, the AI straight line speed become just so much natural and raceable without any other problems.
This forum and Reddit for an example is flooding with reports off the problem with the straight line speed.
Yet you as a representative for the developers say that it is only beeing looked at. Nothing more
It does sound like the developers simply dont care.
Yes we as players sound impatient, but clearly, the view off the community is that we are not being listened to and just blatantly ignored.

Just completely overpowered every straight you get over taken but when you switch on DRS and dump battery you barely gain anything on the car infront if anything at all.

At ai difficulty level 65, the vehicle overtakes after 1.5 seconds without DRS on the straight line
